Basalt High School is a comprehensive high school of 400 students
located in the scenic Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado. Basalt
High School has an excellent tradition of student scholarship and
citizenship. This occurs because student initiative and
responsibility, along with a knowledgeable, caring staff and
supportive community, make Basalt High School unparalleled in
academic, athletic, and co-curricular opportunities.

We have incorporated the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship as our basis for creating a conducive school climate for learning and growth
